We trailed a couple of elephants for two hours this morning but with no joy, we lost them when they reached the Luvuvue river where they must have swam across. Because they’d been heading away from where we parked the Landy it was a long walk back especially as we opted for the scenic option of going through Palm Springs Gorge.

Because the walk lasted six hours we forwent our breakfast. Once back at camp there was little time for anything else other than lunch and a lie down before we headed out on the afternoon walk. Luckily I had a spare pair of boots to put on, I really didn’t fancy stepping into the wet ones from the morning.
