I didn’t follow the instructions for the study permit to the letter. They don’t accept personal cheques for the admin fee or the deposit. Instead I had to supply either bankers draft or postal order.

The former was an issue because I needed photo ID and the only one I own at the moment is my passport which is currently residing at the South African High Commission.

So I had to fork out for a postal order, so in all the £600 deposit, £35 admin fee, recorded delivery and commission totaled £686 ouch…
