I’m feeling like a five year old on Christmas Eve, so incredibly excited, probably more excited than I’ve ever been… my safari hat arrives tomorrow.

After many failed shopping trips to adventure shops in London I’ve resorted to the internet. Now it’s a case of fingers crossed to see if the hat lives up to expectations.

I’d set my sights high, I was after a proper Mick Dundee job, something leathery and with no chin strap, the latter is important, I don’t want to look any more like a boy scout than I am.

I double checked the size of my head by asking Mum to measure it, I’m an ‘L’ which I think is respectable in terms of head size.
