I must admit I had a little bit of a sore head after fines night. Didn’t help that I had to be up at 0530 to do the wake up. At least I wasn’t doing the food run, bad luck Hine.
I dropped the trails course guys at the gate and said goodbye. A good bunch and we’ll hopefully stay in touch. Then it was back to Pafuri Trails for three nights.
I headed back feeling fresh, it’s true what they say, a change is as good as a break. I certainly hadn’t had much of a rest but to break out of the set routine that I’d been following over the last six days has done me the world of good.
We had lots of ele activity today, unfortunately all in the Cruiser and not on foot. Fingers crossed that will change for the better tomorrow, we’re walking Nwambi so there should be a good chance.
I’ve been warned about Rupert, a loan buffalo bull, but I still got a shock when I saw him for the first time. He was munching grass no more than ten metres from the kitchen. If I’d bumped him like this out on a trail there’s a god chance that I’d have chambered. The whole thing is quite freaky given what we’ve been taught.
