Rain was pretty much the main stay yesterday but it did clear late in the afternoon in time for fitness. All the walks were cancelled so it gave me the opportunity to hit the books in preparation for the exam.

After today’s exam I led the afternoon walk on the sandveld, no encounters but we did hear a lion calling on the ridge a few hundred metres away. I tried to loop around but there was no way of getting up, this was a valuable lesson in not pursuing absolutely everything.

The walk was quite challenging from an interpretation point of view. I had the safari group again and their topic of the day was geology, this was quite a tall order for me but I managed to scrape through.
