Michael grew up on a game farm in Zimbabwe, located near the famous Victoria Falls Nature and Hangwe National Park. His inherent wilderness affinity led him to study Zoology at Roehampton University in London, before relocating to Western Australia in 2008.
The stark beauty of the outback sparked his interest in landscape and wildlife photography. His hobby quickly turned into a passion after returning to Africa to start his career as a field guide.
The spectacular wildlife in renowned game reserves such as the Parfuri section of the Kruger National Park and the Sabi Sands presented Michael with plenty of opportunity to develop his skills.
Today he is an aspiring field guide at AndBeyond’s Ngala Private Game Reserve and focuses his photography on the animal and bird interaction.
