Jomi Krobb walking through Houtini Gorge at Makuleke, Kruger National Park

Meet Jomi

Born to German parents and raised in Dublin, Ireland, Jomi had a passion for the outdoors from quite a young age. With his family he explored some striking landscapes in Europe and North-America, hiking part of the Appalachian Trail amongst others. However it was the intermittent visits to places like the Kalahari and Kruger National Park that really turned Jomi’s spark into a flame and he eventually moved to SA in early 2013 to pursue a career in safari guiding.

Having spent most of his first year in the Pafuri region of KNP, Jomi now works at Marataba lodge, which is part of Marakele National Park in the Waterberg. Birding, Conservation and Trails guiding are definitely Jomi’s main interests although he has recently also developed an eye for wildlife photography.
